February Wrap Up

February was a really good month for me, reading wise.
I managed to read 9 books.
Unfortunately, only one of them was a 5 stars read for me, and one 4 stars worth read. Others were all bellow four stars.
I guess it has something to do with the fact that the more I read, the more critical of a reader I become.
I don’t complain though, because I feel like I am growing as a reader in a way, if that makes sense.

Without further ado, these are the books I read in February: (click on covers to see my reviews)

My favorite book of the month:

That is it!

Please tell me how many books have you read during February and what was your favorite?
If you have wrap up post, feel free to leave your link so I can visit you. 🙂

  1. Wow 9 books!!! That is a really reading month. A shame there was only 1 5 star but good that none were terrible. I look forward to your reviews of The Owl and the Kinsella one. I haven’t actually read Wedding Night! It was originally under her own name wasn’t it.

    • No, as I know, The Wedding Night came out under her pseudonim Sophie Kinsella. It was released in 2013.
Actually, there was one terrible book – The Glittering Court, which is a shame because it is by my favorite author.
I don’t think I’ll write a full review for The Wedding Night. It was a solid comedy, I rated it three stars and reviewed it briefly on Goodreads.
It was okay, I would recommend it to Kinsella fans, but it didn’t blew my mind.

      • I will have a look at your review on goodreads then. That is very annoying to have an unenjoyable book especially as being a favourite author you would expect it to be good. I hope it hasn’t put you off them. I don’t know that book either.

      • It is the second two stars read by this author for me, so now I am a bit worried, but as you already know, I am always honest and I won’t rate book more then I think it’s worth just because it’s from my favorite author.
Sad part is that now that review has the most likes on Goodreads from all of my reviews.
Richelle Mead wrote my number one favorite series – Vampire Academy, so I will always love her because of that!

      • It’s a shame that books that have not such a raving review seems often to get more ‘likes’ as perhaps people find them interesting to read. It is a shame that the 5 star ones don’t get the most likes.

      • Yes, that’s true. And if you look at GR, the most popular reviewers are often ones who give low ratings.
I don’t know… I mean, I don’t take seriously reviewers who like every book they read and all of their reviews are 4 or 5 stars, but then again, if every book you read is awful then you’re probably reading wrong books, try different genre instead of sticking to the most popular one.
